Reigate Afternoon WI

Sadly, our last meeting was Wednesday, 10th April. Although the number of ladies who belonged to the Reigate Afternoon Women’s Institute numbered over 60, it was not possible to sustain the main officers of the committee, the president, the secretary and the treasurer. It is necessary for these three positions to be held for RAWI to be members of the Women’s Institute Federation.After 12 years it was a sad but convivial meeting encompassing crafts, cakes and conversation. Thank you to all the RAWI members and to the former president, Noreen Hallam, and members of the committee and the much-missed former secretary Jenny Rawlinson who sadly died in 2023.The money raised for RAWI’s charity during these few months of 2024 is £1,000 and the charity is St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley where Jenny Rawlinson was so well looked after.Thank you to all of you who have been part of Reigate Afternoon Women’s Institute
